This is a pretty extraordinary time in history, right? Social distancing and stay at home orders are the new normal. We are staying home to stay healthy and keep everybody else healthy as well. But this doesn’t mean we can’t document our lives in the midst of a pandemic.
THIS IS NOW :: A Virtual Photoshoot Experience with Funkhouse Photography
These sessions are available for all kinds of beautiful moments you want to capture – maternity, newborns, motherhood, family, couples and fresh 48 (hospital) sessions.
What is included:
- a 15 minute Facetime (or equivalent video chat) consult where you will show me around your home and yard so we can decide on the best places to photograph with the available light
-a wardrobe consultation
-a 30 minute virtual photography session (via facetime, zoom, google duo, or other application)
-complete posing directions, given live, for the most natural and flattering poses
-an amazing way to document this unique time in your lives and a chance to create art with Funkhouse Photography
- 10 new, fun images both in color and black and white to keep for yourself and share with others
FAQs
HOW THE HECK DOES THIS WORK?? Once you book your session we will schedule a consult video chat, as well as your actual session day and time. During your consult, you will walk me through your home on video chat. We will decide together the best rooms to photograph in, and the best places to set up your device. You will be using your cell phone for the actual session. If you dont have a tripod- no worries. I have a few tricks to share to help you position your phone using household items. During your actual session, I will use vocal commands on how you and your family will pose. While you are posing, I will be taking images just like a do in my studio or during regular sessions, just a little slower. After your session, I will edit your images with my artistic flair and send you an email with your final images.
WHAT DO I WEAR? Basically whatever you want, but I recommend wearing something that suits the environment (your home) that we will be shooting in. Literally, anything you have in your closet is totally fine!
MY HOUSE IS NOT PHOTO-WORTHY, WHAT DO I DO? All we need to create some beautiful images is available light and willing subjects! I love images taken in a kitchen, a bedroom, or even outside. And I don’t care if you have crap lying around - I say crap adds character.
IS THIS A SUBSTITUTE FOR A REGULAR SESSION WITH YOU? While this is a temporary substitution to our traditional sessions until we can get back to business as usual, it will never replace the FULL experience I offer and of course, the high quality images that are worthy of displaying in your home.
SPEAKING OF THAT, WHAT IS THE IMAGE QUALITY? We all know screenshots cannot yield us the high resolution images that I normally capture with my professional equipment and lighting. These virtual sessions are meant to create images to share on social media and for keepsakes. Image quality will be dependent on your specific device, but in general will have a retro feel and pixelation. Due to the quality of the images, they lend themselves to a vintage aesthetic.
Virtual Photography Sessions are $160 for a 30 minute session + 10 digital images in both color and black and white.
When you book a session you are agreeing to the following: every session will be different based on the environment, internet quality, individual device capabilities and available light. Editing is up to the discretion of Funkhouse Photography, but will generally have a vintage feel.
