Spent about 13 hours recently in Philadelphia checking out the Reading Terminal Market and damn, it's amazing! I've been to lots of markets in my travels (still loving Pike Place Market in Seattle of course), but I was pleasantly surprised by Philadelphia. And the breakfast at Dutch Eating Place was to die- blueberry pancakes and scrapple! You have to be from the East Coast to appreciate scrapple. What is scrapple- you ask. It is like a meat mush that is formed into a loaf, sliced, and then fried. Does it sound disgusting- yes. Is it amazing- yes. And of course, cheesesteaks.
